Improved varieties of wheat are grown on our own farmland. The application of modern fertilisers and pesticides is kept as low as possible. After harvesting, the grains are stored properly without using insecticides.
For making healthy wheat flour, the bran is never removed β thus the right amount of fibre and micronutrients remain maintained in the flour. This is what makes BD Feeds wheat flour nutritionally superior to commercially milled alternatives.
Full fibre retained, micronutrient-rich, no insecticide storage, grown on own farmland.
Available in convenient 2 Kg and 5 Kg packaging for household use.
Multigrain atta is the speciality of BD Feeds and always remains in high demand. At present it is composed of nine grains: jowar (sorghum), bajra (pearl millet), ragi (finger millet), soyabean, gram, maize, barley, rice and black wheat.
Contrary to most brands of multigrain atta containing high amounts of ordinary wheat, we use a small quantity of black wheat having many features superior to general wheat. Black wheat has anthocyanin pigments acting as antioxidants and thus it minimises aging.
Our multigrain atta has multi-millets too. The millets are of low glycemic index, free from gluten & cholesterol and contain high amounts of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Soyabean and gram contribute to a high protein level of 16.5%.
This atta digests slowly, extends the feeding interval and controls obesity. It is the best atta for everyone β from children to old, diseased to healthy, and pregnant to breast-feeding mothers.
This gluten-free, protein-rich, energising food is a delicacy in the Indian subcontinent. In India, this nutritious superfood was a staple in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Thousands of years ago, soldiers and travellers used to carry sattu as a ready-to-eat food or drink with water.
BD Feeds uses high quality roasted gram (Bengal gram) for making sattu. About 25% of the gram's coat (skin) is removed mechanically so as to make the flour better for drinking and eating purposes. Greater or complete removal of gram skin results in loss of fibre and minerals. The fibre content is necessary for a healthy digestive system.
Though sattu can be used throughout the year, its consumption is more in summer months due to its natural cooling effect.
This high-protein, gluten-free, mineral & fibre-rich flour is a well known part of cuisine of the Indian subcontinent, Caribbean and countries largely inhabited by people of Indian origin. Its most common use is in making besan curry.
It is also used in making pakora, bread-pakora, dhokla, gutta, namkeen, bhujia, laddoo, son papadi, burfi etc. It is also used as a thickening agent in gravies, soups and curries. Due to its deep cleansing properties, besan is also used in traditional beauty treatments.
The texture of besan manufactured at BD Feeds varies as per customer requirements and items to be made.
India is the largest producer, consumer and exporter of garam masala in the world. The garam masala ingredients of BD Feeds are purchased very carefully from known sources in order to get the original and fresh spices.
We never mix dhania (coriander) powder in our garam masala β instead it is prepared and used separately for purity of flavour. These ingredients are cleaned properly, mixed in a fixed proportion, followed by grinding, cooling and packaging.
Usually bought in high quality directly from farmers. Cleaned and dried properly, then made somewhat coarse β not finely ground or powdered β to retain more flavour and aroma. Packed separately from garam masala for purity.
Nowadays it has become rare to get natural or original turmeric rhizomes in the market. Therefore BD Feeds buys turmeric directly from farmers, processes and then grinds it β ensuring you get completely authentic, unadulterated haldi.
